Application Process
Admission requirements at GCDI include a Master's degree (or be enrolled in a masters program) from a regionally-accredited college or university and an original verification statement from an ACEND (Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics) accredited DPD program. Students who have not yet graduated can have their DPD Director submit a declaration of intent.
Complete an online application with DICAS
The Gulf Coast Dietetic Internship participates in the Dietetics Inclusive Centralized Application System (DICAS). The program may be accessed at https://dicas.liaisoncas.com/ The fee to use DICAS is $50 for the first application submitted and $25 for each additional application.
DICAS requires a personal statement, online application, official transcripts and 3 letters of recommendation. In addition GCDI requires applicants upload the following to DICAS supplemental section.
- Preceptor agreement forms and a rotation schedule.

GCDI participates in both the spring and fall match.
The deadline for application submissions is Feb 15th for the spring match and October 15th for the fall match, we encourage you to apply early.
